My chum and Kiting / photgraphy / Xtracycle hippy guru is moving , so for regular readers update you links.
Coffee Waffle is Closed For Business … Murray’s awesome photography can now be found here
Well, my Clematis [ Clematis chiisanensis 'Korean Beauty' ]seeds have popped up and so have my edamame seeds so I will need to get them into their own pots soon.
Having just tried to find a link to to show you what they look like , I’m shocked to see that sell at £4.00 each when only in small pots, well , I hope my 40+ grow , i could have a little bit of a gold mine to help off set the costs of running the garden , and help pay for other projects.
Now that’s a good return
The Garlic seemed to have weathered the bad weather and the rhubarb has kicked through bringing a much need mass of colour in an otherwise gloomy garden.
Cheeky robin has well and truly established a home in the pergola, who knows maybe I’ll have some hatchlings this year in my little bird box that was used last year.
One thing I learnt from Zebra Father that , it’s essential that you clean out the bird boxes after the residents have left for the season , to increase the chances of new visitors.
It all adds to the hustle and bustle of a happy garden.
I need to do things , I’m feeling creative and i feel i need to build something today, who knows what ?
Procrastination , stealing the day away again.
I need to get some compost n stuff , but i need a huge bag so not relishing that on the Xtracycle. Not with my knee playing up anyway.
So maybe have to come to a compromise with my housemate in case he’s going that way and ask to share a lift to collect some.
Noe this is a really good practical idea for wide loads on The Xtracycle
I have indeed been creative and constructed some cloche’s out of an old recycled bunk bed and some water piping.
Life summed up in three words , it goes on.
Days off , I had so much planned and failed to achieve any of my plans.
Go to the tip to see if I could liberate some old front forks of a couple of dead cycles , for yet another project.
watch this space , i look at at the clock it states 1324 and what have I acheived today nothing yet again.
Hello to my newest readers Kitty Kat & Little Willie.
Kit is a long standing chum , who I had not seen for eons , her sisters wedding in fact.
Both who I saw yesterday as it happens , I just had to get out and do some head clearance and also to collect some essential help from Kit’s bro in law.
Thanks Huxley & Steve for all your help to date.
It’s a bit of a ride into Woking , my old place of residence but the weather held out.
I popped into see Kit and established yet another wonderful contact , lovely fresh pears and cooking apples that if I’d been on my Xtracycle would no doubt have been able to fill both my Freeloaders, it was a tough work out on the legs on the way home along the old canal tow path.
But the goods were delivered to a some what happy Zebra Mum.
Decided to raise the spirits of some chums , so we had a sort of jolly hockey sticks outing cycling and foraging then cooking and laughing.
6 Days off flies past, but I can guarantee that the next 5 at work will not reciprocate.
The early morning frosts have not let up yet, breathing in ice cold air first thing hurts the throat and the best way to describe it is ‘ like having ice cream head ‘ after the cycle ride to the station.
1. Is stimulating
2. Is realistically attainable
3. Is beneficial
4. I can do distant learning
5. I can fit around my employment
6. I can afford, adult education is not cheap
Not a lot to ask then.
To try and get the head space right I’ve started today in some deep meditative brain sync stuff , to see if that helps in any way.
I know I’ve been slack with a distinct lack of colour on the blog of late but I did actually take the camera out the other day and took some journalistic type shots of a piece of architecture I found in my local woodland, only to be accosted by some security person , whose acne was healing up quite nicely.
It was definitely one of longer loads and had turned a few heads on other cyclists and ramblers on my route rightly enough and I had managed to pass out some X propaganda to anyone that enquired.
Had the security guard just wanted to be nosey ?
I am heading into ‘The Smoke’ now, partaking in a fresh large coffee from a wonderful new machine at the station, not one of those that normally provides some sort of warm liquid if you punch in a selection of numbers, but a proper fresh ground coffee, a tad more expensive but with this cold weather it is very warmly [ pardon the pun ] received.
I haven’t worked out a way of securing a thermal mug to my commuter bike otherwise I would have made my own.
I am hoping that work will have made a decision about my leave when I get in, I could and should be elsewhere at this time of year and if they had sorted it I could have been away from the frosty UK from Valentines Day / Last Day Of Scallop Fishing.
Who can tell ?
Next stop home of cricket , so better go get ready.
So where was I ?
Well work has finally given me my leave so as of tomorrow I will be on leave until the 7th of April. Hooray
