Well let’s see how this works.

I have unpacked some more stuff and found my pocket p/c, so I will be back to blogging as I used to, all over the place as and when I want to.

Slowly getting there, I haven’t used it in ages, so I’m having to relearn stuff.

It’s taking a bit of time but hey ho.

Nothing much else going on at the home front , just a little re-potting of some of last years surviving chillies into a trough .

Some of the seeds have started to germinate , so that’s all good.

Black beauty aubergines and cherry tomatoes have popped up, some early peas and garlic have been planted out as well.

Still nothing coming through on the sweet basil front, but the sycamore seeds are going strong, not sure if the purple sage is striking or not.

I have clipped the bottom of some cuttings and dipped them in rooting compound and they seemed to have gone all droopy.

Tweaking some new music stuff and I’m going to have to plough through them all, to give them a good listening to.

Updated some new SPB software on the little fellow now, and it seems to be user friendly.

Still not finding any inspiration for photographic work, sorry for those of you that like viewing , weather is not that clever outside for anything worthwhile .

Kill It , Cook It, Eat It

On again , essential viewing , on where and how we obtain our meat products .

It’s rather ironic that some people squirm about where their food comes from.

They are more than happy to eat the products in their homogenised form of chops and prepared joints for cooking off, but don’t like the idea they used to trot around paddocks and flutter their eye lashes as they lived their lives.

The ultimate hypocrisy.

BTW Juno – before it’s released , good chick flick but great soundtrack.

I enjoyed it and not a lot of modern movies do entertain me anymore and this one kept my attention .

Sorry I never finished and posted yesterday’s entry , became engrossed in the tube of doom, Ramsey’s Nightmare’s popped on.

He’s moved the idea to ‘The States’ now and ripping them up.

Not a lot going on today. Sowed 3 types of chillies today.

Ring of Fire [ Hot ] , Cherry Bomb [ Hot ] & Pimientoes De Padron [ Mild ].

I thought seeds were black, brown or cream , the Padron seeds were green/blue , well it was weird to me.

I’m hoped that some will be keepers [ for myself ] and some will kick in for the April wedding favor’s for my chums.

Tomorrow I have to venture back to methell south, I’m hoping all my leave will be granted , but i’m not holding my break . It’s been 2 years since i’ve had a property vacation.

Last year was spent sitting on my old roof waiting to purchase this new home.

This year I have the time but….. I’ve got to get some expensive dentistry to be done.

Mother has just called to suggest getting it done overseas as part of a package deal , holiday and cosmetic dentistry all in one.

Background

Finnish Broadcasting Company and French television channel Arte had started to produce a documentary about the situation of seals and porpoises in Baltic Sea. The documentary was supposed to deal among other things with the effect of global warming to these animals.

When the commission editors saw the rough-cut of the film they were shocked and stated that not even a second of the material was usable. They stated that “use of shock images and shock music” is absolutely not allowed in nature documentaries that are meant for family audiences and according to them the audience is not interested to see the damage people are causing to environment.

Because of the reaction from commission editors any use of the edition was strictly prohibited, the production ran out of money and was never finished.

These 4 clips from the rough-cut are the only evidence left of this massive film production.

The Opening

This opening scene introduces the situation of the seals when they have to (because of the lack of ice) give birth on land and the baby seals are in great danger to get sick, die and get eaten in the first days of their lives.

But it does help pass the time at work , just got to get the wheat field up a level to get my Grain Mill , just got to get my Barracks up to 23 notches , just got to get a Residence tonight , just got to get city wall up some notches and finally just got to get my Warehouse level up.

Thanks to the lovely Fee , she’s had to resolve this whole sorry affair , I have binned Farce Hosts , absolutely useless in the resolution from start to finish.

I would not recommend them to anyone I know.

I just have to try and get everything up and running and get all my links n stuff back into play.

For some reason or other it’s not showing my themes up and even though it’s the latest version of WordPress on the server , it keeps saying I need to update , so something is not there just yet.

But at least it’s back.

I have emailed some of you re the reopening of Naive Zebra , so who will be the first here , I wonder ?

Bloggar has been configured , so even that works grand.

Things looking up , but I’m sure something will go awry it always does.

Bit of pain downstairs today of all days.

Got to to go back into MetHell today , it’s not the place I miss one iota , it’s some of the people there.

Things on the agenda for me , find a bloody NHS Dentist , I almost fell over when I went to the nearest on to to me to be told that to have 2 Crowns and a filling , wait for it £1130 , that’s almost three months mortgage.

Sadly there is a failing in the NHS over her , the amount of NHS dentists is on the decline if you can find one at all , but that’s a hell of a price to pay for going to the dentist having lost and swallowed your fillings.

Well where do I start ,?

Been busy in the garden with my little chum , Andy and I think quite possibly I have utilised every possible piece of space for the upcoming months planting and the growing season this year.

No photos yet mainly because it was too dark to take any decent shots.

The front garden now has 4 raised beds adding 3 to the original 1, just to keep it balanced and using up the majority of the remaining recycled wood shed that I obtained on the first couple of weeks here.

It feels good to give something back by not wasting anything that can possibly be used in growing healthy fruit and veg.

Did I mention fruit , yes the beds are all planted with fruit bushed that I managed to get for £1 each , blackcurrants , redcurrants and 2 gooseberry bushes are installed , and as I type this I have just been delivered 6 or more raspberry canes [ apparently that's the proper word ] by Smiley Chums Paul and Fee.

Fee has also offered to help me resolve my ongoing blog problems and host it on her server for me , so touchwood , when I get my domain name back from Fasthosts [ who managed to loose everything I have ever blogged about since first discovering NZ all those years ago , including all my follow up adventures Dm Course etc. etc. ] I will then hopefully be able to to have Naive Zebra back online , watch this space.

Have a massive favour to ask you as you are possibly the only man with the capability and love to possibly do it. N and I are getting married on April 26th and is customary to give people at the meal a favour and we wanted to give people a small 3″ pot with a herb partially to fully grown in it.

We are having (here we go..) 80 family n a few friends to the meal and we love Sweet Basil, and Coriander but don’t know whether these are suitable for the time of year..

Gulp all hands to the pump.

I had to call in the assistance of Matron re this , 80 seedling great idea , the wedding favour that just keeps on giving.

Nice touch.

3 months to get them all germinated and potted out , going to be hard on the type of herbs that they want , but I am working out all sorts of alternatives , Paul & Fee have just offered me the chance to go around to theirs and Fee is going to help me take cuttings of Rosemary plants , so there is start , Matron has offered to help me out with any surplus tomato seedlings , I have tried to start off some sweet basil indoors , and started 2 types of early tomatoes.

Let’s see. What will be will be .

Some of last years late starting chilies are still going strong so they could be in the offing as well.

If I can get the seedling off and running , Matron reckons I may be lucky enough to get the rosemary to strike as well , Fee reckons I could also try some cutting off her lavender , it’s a veritable Quality St of flavours and scents.

But I love the idea of giving something that will grow rather than sweets and almonds.

Fee & Paul also loved it , so no doubt that’s why they are keen to help this ambitious project / request.
